Schedule:
Minimum 6 hours/day, not to exceed 10 hours/day. Availability required Friday through Sunday. Position Summary The Licensed Physical Therapy Specialist (Premium) provides high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy. This position is designed as a premium, flexible part-time role for experienced therapists who maintain exceptional productivity and independence. The Specialist supports continuity of care during high-demand periods, particularly weekends, ensuring that residents and outpatients continue to receive timely, effective therapy services. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and assess patients' physical therapy needs based on physician orders and functional performance. Develop, implement, and document individualized treatment plans to maximize strength, mobility, and independence. Deliver hands-on therapy services in accordance with established standards and evidence-based practice. Maintain a minimum productivity standard of 85% based on census and caseload. Accurately document services and outcomes in compliance with regulatory and company requirements. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including OT, COTA, PTA, and nursing staff. Participate in team meetings, discharge planning, and patient/family education as appropriate. Demonstrate professional ethics, discretion, and consistent adherence to compliance and HIPAA standards. Premium Role Expectations Maintains availability for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday coverage.
Minimum shift duration:
6 hours/day, maximum 10 hours/day. Premium hourly rate of $75-$80/hour for non-qualified part-time status. If scheduled as a qualified part-time employee (working consistent 8-hour shifts Fri-Sun), Friday pay rate adjusts to $55/hour to align with benefit eligibility structure.
Qualifications Licensure:
Current and active Massachusetts Physical Therapist License.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (BS, MS, or DPT).
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years preferred in outpatient, skilled nursing, or geriatric setting.
Skills:
Excellent clinical judgment, time management, documentation accuracy, and communication skills.
Other:
Must be able to meet productivity expectations and adapt to flexible scheduling needs.
