1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care assignment in Worcester, MA, requiring 1+ years of PTA experience and LTC/Rehab setting experience. Details Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing facility setting within the Physical Therapy department Day shift, 8-hour shifts, 35 guaranteed weekly hours No weekend or on-call requirements 13-week assignment Requirements Active PTA license required (if applicable) Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required LTC or Rehab setting experience required New grads considered if they have Level II clinical experience (not just Level I observation) One reference required at time of consideration Additional Information Provide rehabilitative, skilled treatment under the supervision of a Physical Therapist Administer manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising PT to adjust treatment plans Document all regulatory and clinical information in the electronic documentation system Provide input for discharge summaries and participate in patient care conferences and utilization review meetings Supervise and support PTA students under PT guidance Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics standards Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested during the assignment
