Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Aide/Technician to join our healthcare team in Edgewater. In this role, you will support licensed physical therapists in delivering quality patient care and maintaining a smooth-running therapy environment.
Assist physical therapists with patient treatment sessions and therapeutic exercisesTransport patients to and from therapy areas using proper transfer techniquesPrepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and organizationSanitize and maintain therapy equipment according to protocolsSchedule patient appointments and handle basic administrative tasksDocument patient information in electronic health recordsStock therapy supplies and monitor inventory levelsAssist with patient positioning and preparation for therapy sessionsFollow all safety protocols and HIPAA guidelinesQualificationsCurrent CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (preferred)Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physical therapy procedures (preferred)Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems (preferred)Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirementsExcellent patient handling and transfer skillsDetail-oriented with strong organizational abilitiesProfessional communication and interpersonal skillsPhysical ability to assist patients and handle therapy equipmentPrevious healthcare experience preferred but not requiredMust be able to work flexible hours including some eveningsAdditional InformationThe anticipated base pay range for this position is $15.00-$16.00. Pay is based on various factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Company's incentive compensation plan is subject to change. Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other benefits are also available, subject to the terms of the Company's plan.
