Portland Chiropractic Neurology is an established and busy specialty healthcare practice. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a multi-faceted role as a full-time Chiropractic Neurology Assistant. This position incorporates Chiropractic Assisting (e-stim, traction, percussor therapy, stretching, exercise rehab, VNG and CAPS testing), and cross training for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy technician . We will provide training to the right candidate in our techniques, methods, modalities and diagnostic equipment. We are looking for a candidate with a degree in the health sciences (athletic training, strength and conditioning, applied exercise science, exercise physiology, kinesiology, or movement science). Our practice is built on a comprehensive neurological approach that we're not just a body, and not just a brain, but an integration and interaction of the two. It's this precise interaction that occurs when our brain is balanced and communicated (connected) well. If these connections break down, we experience symptoms. Functional Neurologists and OT's work to improve not only parts of the problem in the body, but also the brain, focusing on reconnecting them through skilled neuroplasticity rehab that targets the source. Each eye movement relates to a different part of the brain, we use these eye movements to detect errors and trace them back to specific parts of the brain and their neuropathways involved in the patients condition and symptoms, repairing neuropathways and thus communication throughout the body for healthy, symptom-free function. This is truly healthcare that treats the source(s) of the problem. The ideal candidate will have an interest in working with patients suffering from a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions as well as a desire to learn. This is a hands-on position with a focus on patient care. Since you will have direct contact with our patients you must be personable, professional and genuinely interested in providing outstanding patient care.
