PTA Program Director Job Summary:
Develop and implement effective teaching strategies and assessment methods to uphold curriculum standards and support student success. This position will be in person in the South Haven, Michigan campus.
Essential Functions:
1. Teach assigned course(s) in area of expertise. 2. Uphold academic and clinical practice standards. 3. Develop and maintain effective course materials. 4. Provide timely evaluation and feedback on student performance. 5. Maintain availability for student support. 6. Monitor and report student progress and concerns. 7. Maintain complete and accurate student records. 8. Refer students to college resources for additional support. 9. Participate in regular faculty performance evaluations. 10. Support program assessment and accreditation processes. 11. Attend departmental meetings and participate in program activities. 12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Under the direct supervision of the PTA Program Director, each adjunct faculty member is responsible for satisfying the educational, administrative, and programmatic requirements inherent in their position.
Job Specifications:
A minimum of an Associate's degree is required or an applicable license and clinical experience. Qualified candidates must hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant license. Candidates must demonstrate current clinical experience in physical therapy, with neurological rehabilitation expertise strongly preferred. Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a clear commitment to student success.

Applicants:
The Adjunct Instructor Pools are for applicants who are interested in teaching in the future as an (part-time) adjunct instructor for one of our departments. The Instructor Pools are always open for applications. However, this does not mean that we have an immediate opening in the division. The Adjunct Instructor Pools function as a way for department chairs to view applicant materials in advance of a need and determine if the applicant will be approved or not approved to be added to their pool of eligible applicants. Should a part-time instructional need arise in each department, the department chair will look first at the approved applicants to see if anyone matches our needs, in which case they may make contact to schedule an interview. Adjunct faculty are not employed directly by Lake Michigan College, with a few exceptions based on MSPERS retirement program. All others are employed through Edustaff, LLC . If you are selected for one of these roles, you will be required to complete Edustaff's employment application and on-boarding processes.
