Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where you will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to alleviate pain and improve function. Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, document responses, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Educate patients on exercises, stretches, and self-care strategies to promote recovery and prevent future injuries. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for post-treatment activities at home or in outpatient settings. Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, progress notes, and therapy logs in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care across inpatient, outpatient, orthopedic, acute care, and skilled nursing environments. Experience Proven experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, or skilled nursing facilities. Hands-on expertise with physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and physiotherapy modalities. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and rehabilitation principles. Familiarity with care plans tailored for diverse populations such as pediatrics or geriatrics. Experience supporting discharge planning processes and coordinating care across various healthcare environments. Prior work experience in home health or outpatient clinics focusing on orthopedics or sports injuries is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to deliver compassionate patient care while adhering to safety standards and clinical protocols.
