Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Implement physical therapy treatments including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and other modalities to promote healing and mobility. Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately according to clinical documentation standards. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Maintain detailed medical documentation within electronic health records (EHR), adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate comprehensive care strategies. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress, and discharge planning processes. Support discharge planning by preparing detailed reports on patient progress for seamless transitions across care settings such as inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, or home health. Skills Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including manual therapy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient care. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation standards. Experience with inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, outpatient clinics, or acute care units is highly desirable. Ability to operate medical equipment safely and manage electronic health records (EHR) efficiently. Excellent communication skills for effective caregiver and client interactions; capable of explaining complex treatment plans clearly. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and developing comprehensive care plans for diverse patient populations. Prior experience with physical therapy documentation practices aligned with clinical standards is preferred.
