In this position, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist patients in their recovery journeys, and promote optimal mobility and function. Your expertise will help improve quality of life for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility environments. This is a paid position that offers meaningful work and opportunities for professional growth. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide hands-on therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physiotherapy interventions to facilitate pain relief and mobility improvement. Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions accurately, and communicate updates to the healthcare team. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings through education and follow-up instructions. Conduct patient care activities across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home health visits, and skilled nursing facilities. Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and orthopedics to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions. Assist with specialized treatments such as trigger point therapy and other manual techniques to optimize patient outcomes. Requirements Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy practices. Experience with care planning for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care patients. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and documentation standards. Ability to perform skilled nursing tasks and support patient care activities effectively. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and educate patients on their treatment plans.
