Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chiropractic Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our chiropractic practice, ensuring that patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience in medical administrative support. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Assist in the daily operations of the chiropractic office, including front desk duties and patient scheduling. Manage patient intake processes, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform soft billing and coding tasks using chirotouch software. Right candidate will be trained. Verify insurance information and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries. Maintain organized medical records and ensure proper filing of documents. Review care plans and assist in the development of treatment protocols for patients. Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns professionally. Utilize computer skills to manage appointment scheduling and maintain electronic health records efficiently. Collaborate with chiropractic staff to ensure smooth patient flow and optimal care delivery. Experience Previous experience in a medical office environment is preferred, with a focus on chiropractic or healthcare settings. Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems, and documentation review is essential. Strong clerical skills including typing proficiency, filing, and handling multi-line phone systems are required. Experience in medical collection processes and knowledge of health information management practices are beneficial. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to enhance communication with diverse patient populations.
