Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments and clinical goals. Implement physical therapy treatments using manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as trigger point therapy. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, adhering to all safety protocols. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately in electronic health records (EHR) following clinical documentation standards. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, progress expectations, and home exercise programs. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to optimize patient care outcomes and ensure seamless care transitions. Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and documentation requirements for medical documentation and physiotherapy records. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and related medical terminology. Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation and adherence to clinical documentation standards. Experience with inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, home health services, and acute care settings. Skilled in manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities. Ability to operate medical equipment safely while maintaining proper documentation of therapy sessions. Excellent caregiver communication skills along with client-centered approach to patient care. Familiarity with outpatient treatment protocols, discharge planning processes, and developing comprehensive care plans.
