Great Therapy Shouldn't Depend on Your ZIP Code. For a patient recovering from surgery, hospitalization, illness, or a fall, getting to an outpatient clinic isn't always easy. Sometimes transportation is the problem. Sometimes leaving home requires significant assistance. And sometimes the very limitations they're receiving therapy for are what make traveling to therapy difficult. That's where you come in. Legacy Home Care and Home Health Care, Inc. are expanding Physical Therapy coverage throughout the Southeastern Twin Cities Greater Metro Area , and we're looking for PTAs who want to bring quality therapy directly to patients where they live. Bring Physical Therapy to the Patient As a Home Health PTA, you'll work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to help patients improve strength, balance, mobility, endurance, transfers, gait, and functional independence . But you'll be doing it in the environment where those skills actually matter. You're not practicing stairs in a therapy gym. You're helping someone safely navigate their stairs . You're not simulating a transfer. You're helping them get out of their chair . You're helping patients regain the ability to function safely in the place they want to be. Why PTAs Choose This Opportunity Competitive compensation with strong full-time earning potential Full-Time or Part-Time opportunities Minimum 2 weekdays / 12 visits per week Monday-Friday patient visits only No weekends Consistent patient volume Territory-based scheduling Mileage reimbursement between visits Cell phone reimbursement every paycheck Free MedBridge Education Hub access Licensure reimbursement Annual scrub reimbursement Experienced PT and clinical support Comprehensive benefits for eligible employees, including medical, dental, life insurance, disability, PTO, sick time, and 401(k) with company match What You'll Do You'll travel between patients within your assigned southeastern metro territory and: Provide Physical Therapy treatments in patient homes Implement plans of care established by the supervising PT Improve strength, balance, endurance, mobility, and functional movement Provide gait and transfer training Guide therapeutic exercises and home exercise programs Reinforce fall-prevention and safety strategies Educate patients, families, and caregivers Monitor progress and response to treatment Communicate changes and concerns to the supervising PT Complete accurate and timely EMR documentation Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team Your PTA Experience Can Come From Anywhere Home health experience is preferred, but it isn't required . We'd like to meet PTAs coming from Outpatient Therapy, Skilled Nursing, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, Transitional Care, Senior Living, Long-Term Care, Hospital-Based Rehabilitation, Geriatrics, and Home Health . If you can confidently treat patients, follow a PT's plan of care, recognize changes, communicate effectively, and manage your responsibilities independently, your experience can translate extremely well to home health. You'll need a current Minnesota Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license , valid driver's license and reliable transportation, strong communication and organization skills, and availability for at least 2 weekdays / 12 visits per week . Help Bring Great Therapy Closer to Home There are patients throughout the Southeastern Twin Cities Greater Metro Area who need Physical Therapy but can't easily get themselves to it. You can bring it to them. And you can do it with Full-Time or Part-Time flexibility, Monday-Friday visits, no weekends, territory-based scheduling, and the ability to start with as little as two days per week.
