$26.09+/hour (based on experience and internal equity) Make a Difference Through Movement and Recovery Glendive Medical Center is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation Services team. Working under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll help patients improve mobility, regain function, and work toward greater independence following injury, illness, or surgery. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships while working with a variety of diagnoses in a supportive rural healthcare environment. What You'll Be Doing Implement therapy programs developed by the Physical Therapist Lead patients through therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities Monitor patient performance and communicate progress to the supervising therapist Document treatments, outcomes, and patient responses accurately Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and home programs Assist with transfers, positioning, gait training, and mobility activities Apply therapeutic modalities as directed, including heat, ultrasound, and other treatment techniques Maintain treatment spaces, equipment, and therapy supplies Qualifications Required Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current Montana PTA license Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of a rehabilitation team Ideal Candidate Passion for helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals Positive, patient-centered approach to care Strong observation and documentation skills Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on patient needs Physical Demands Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and assisting patients Ability to safely transfer and support patients during treatment activities Ability to lift up to 75 pounds when necessary Benefits Eligible after 59 days: Medical, Dental, Vision Healthcare Spending Accounts Employer-paid Life & Disability Eligible after 30 days: 401(k) with employer match Paid Time Off and Extended Illness Leave Paid float holidays Why Choose GMC?
