Burlington is accessible as a day trip to NC Mountains and beaches. Ample recreational activities, shopping, and easy access to metros (Greensboro, Raleigh and Durham) are unique to Burlington. We are currently seeking patient-focused individuals for a Physical Therapy Assistant position to support the Physical Therapy Department. The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for providing physical therapy treatments according to a physical therapist's treatment plan. Communicates with supervisor and other health care interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, or plans. Records daily treatment notes, portions of monthly progress notes, and discharge summaries timely and completely. This position would be located at the Burlington Kernodle Clinic location. All candidates must have one year of experience as Physical Therapy Assistant. Training from accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in North Carolina. One year of experience as an assistant or comparable internships preferred. AHA BLS certification required.
Job Type:
Full-time Duties Include, but not limited to the following: Provides physical therapy treatments according to a physical therapist's treatment plan. Carries a full caseload and works under the supervision of the primary physical therapist. PTA will build up a caseload with the potential to see two patients each treatment block. Communicates with supervisor and other health care interdisciplinary team members regarding patient progress, problems, or plans. Records daily treatment notes, portions of monthly progress notes, and discharge summaries timely and completely. Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in an accurate and timely manner. Attends departmental, utilization review, and other meetings as requested. Maintains confidentiality of patient information. Follows clinical and personnel policies. Oversees physical therapy aides in direct patient care and related activities, as requested.
