This role involves assisting as a Physical Therapist Assistant within schools for two days each week, working a total of 16 hours weekly. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping students achieve their physical goals while collaborating with a dedicated educational team.

Requirements for this position include:

Valid North Carolina PTA license Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred Solid foundation in pediatric physical therapy techniques Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement activities that support students physical development and access to their learning environment Capability to adapt interventions based on individual student needs Key responsibilities you will undertake: Assist the supervising PT in delivering treatment plans and interventions for students Track and document progress, updating student files in accordance with school and legal requirements Support therapy goals that encourage independence, safety, and participation within the school context Coordinate with teachers, staff, and families to optimize student therapy outcomes Prepare equipment or activities needed for sessions and maintain a safe therapeutic environment This contract assignment begins August 17, 2026 and continues through June 4, 2027, giving you the chance to make a lasting difference over an entire school year.
