Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)Position SummaryWe are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
Responsibilities Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist. Provide therapeutic exercises and assigned physical therapy interventions. Assist patients with mobility, transfers, gait, balance, and strengthening activities. Perform range-of-motion and functional exercises. Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist. Educate patients on exercises and home programs as directed. Assist with gait training and use of appropriate assistive devices. Document treatments and patient progress accurately. Maintain a safe and organized therapy environment. Follow patient safety, infection control, and professional standards.
Qualifications Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current PTA license or certification as applicable. Previous clinical experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills. Ability to follow treatment plans and work effectively with the healthcare team. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
