The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy techniques, patient care, and anatomy, with a passion for helping individuals improve their mobility and quality of life. As a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and deliver compassionate care across diverse settings including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, home health, and skilled nursing environments. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' recovery journeys through expert support and personalized therapy interventions. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Administer therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to promote healing and mobility. Monitor patient responses to treatments, document progress accurately, and communicate updates to supervising therapists. Support patients across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home health visits, and skilled nursing facilities. Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention strategies, and post-discharge care plans to ensure continuity of recovery. Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and optimize patient outcomes. Requirements Valid licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited program with current certification or registration as required by state or regional regulations. Proven experience in physiotherapy practices within inpatient, outpatient, or skilled nursing facility settings. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and orthopedic principles relevant to physical therapy. Hands-on experience with trigger point therapy techniques and other manual therapy modalities. Familiarity with care planning processes for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care patients. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients of all ages. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments such as outpatient clinics or home health visits.
