Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Oasis Medical and Surgical Wellness Group - 1.5 East Orange, NJ Job Details Full-time $35 - $38 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Spanish Teamwork Physical Therapy English Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Full Job Description Oasis Medical and Surgical Wellness Group is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our busy multidisciplinary practice in our East Orange, New Jersey office. Our practice offers a collaborative approach to patient care, providing medical services, pain management, orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, chiropractic care, and physical therapy. We are looking for a dependable, motivated, and patient focused PTA who enjoys working as part of a team and is committed to providing quality care to our patients. Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy treatments to patients under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Carry out established treatment plans designed to improve mobility and function, decrease pain and symptoms, and help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Provide therapeutic treatments including therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, and other appropriate interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in a patient's condition or response to treatment to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate and encourage patients throughout their treatment and rehabilitation.
- Assist patients with exercises, mobility, proper use of equipment, and home exercise programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Accurately and timely document patient treatments and progress in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, physicians, chiropractors, and other members of our multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional treatment environment.
- Maintain all required professional licenses and certifications.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable patient care and safety standards. Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant license required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary medical environment.
- Dependable, professional, and committed to providing excellent patient care.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
