Part-Time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) We are seeking an experienced Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our private outpatient physical therapy office on a part-time basis.
Schedule:
Tuesday (1pm to 7pm) , Wednesday (9am to 7pm) , and Thursday (9am to 1pm) Our practice focuses heavily on orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions, including acute and chronic joint and muscle pain. We are looking for a PTA who is confident treating orthopedic conditions and has strong hands-on/manual therapy skills. Responsibilities
- Perform manual therapy techniques, soft tissue mobilization, and trigger point techniques as appropriate within PTA scope of practice.
- Assist in the treatment of patients with conditions including muscle pain, tendonitis, bursitis, joint pain, sprains/strains, and other orthopedic diagnoses.
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics, posture, activity modification, and home exercise programs. Requirements
- Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and medical terminology.
- Prior outpatient orthopedic experience strongly preferred.
- Manual therapy experience is highly preferred and important for this position.
- Comfortable treating patients with both acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Independent, dependable, motivated, and able to work well in a busy private-practice environment.
- Experience with therapeutic exercise, orthopedic rehabilitation, and physical therapy modalities.
We are specifically looking for someone who enjoys a hands-on approach to orthopedic rehabilitation and is comfortable working with patients who present with a wide variety of musculoskeletal and pain-related conditions.
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.41 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 per week
