Responsibilities Assist chiropractors with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and explaining procedures clearly. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status. Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by positioning them appropriately and ensuring comfort throughout procedures. Support clinical operations by recording detailed medical documentation, updating electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), and managing medical records accurately. Perform basic procedures such as phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and assisting with physiotherapy or rehabilitation exercises. Maintain a clean, organized treatment environment adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient flow, timely documentation, and efficient office management. Experience Prior experience in a medical office setting, preferably within chiropractic, dermatology, hospital medicine, or urgent care environments. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and pharmacology principles. Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and Medical Record management is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to support patient service initiatives with professionalism and empathy. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are advantageous. Experience working in hospital settings or emergency medicine environments enhances your ability to handle diverse patient needs confidently. Familiarity with medical assisting tasks including vital signs collection, intake procedures, and basic clinical support across inpatient or outpatient settings is preferred.
