Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately in medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for ongoing care or home exercises post-treatment. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention strategies, and activity modifications to promote recovery outside of clinical sessions. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring proper use of equipment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists—to optimize patient care and facilitate seamless treatment transitions. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology and human anatomy to effectively assist with therapeutic procedures. Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and patient documentation. Experience with outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, or skilled nursing environments—particularly in orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, or acute care settings. Skilled in performing trigger point therapy and other manual techniques to alleviate pain and muscle tension. Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to diverse patient populations including those in home health or outpatient clinics. Excellent communication skills for educating patients and coordinating with healthcare teams.
