The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide quality patient care, implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and help patients improve their mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional independence. Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments and therapeutic exercises as directed by the Physical Therapist. Assist patients with exercises, stretching, mobility training, gait training, balance activities, and functional activities. Monitor and document patient responses and progress during treatment. Communicate changes in patient condition or progress to the supervising Physical Therapist. Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and appropriate safety precautions. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Follow established treatment plans, clinical protocols, and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment. Collaborate with physical therapists, healthcare professionals, patients, and families to support positive outcomes. Comply with applicable federal, state, and facility regulations and professional standards. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current state Physical Therapist Assistant license or eligibility for licensure. Current CPR/BLS certification, as required. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. Ability to safely assist and transfer patients and perform the physical requirements of the position. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in an outpatient, inpatient, skilled nursing, home health, or rehabilitation setting. Experience working with patients across a variety of ages and diagnoses. Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
