9660211-87532 Job Description Step into a rewarding part-time contract assignment supporting students in a school setting near Espanola, NM! This position offers the chance to work closely with a small, engaged caseloadthree students in kindergarten, 5th, and 6th gradehelping them thrive academically and functionally through exceptional physical therapy assistance. As a valued member of the educational team, youll provide around three hours of service each week, primarily delivering direct therapy. Your schedule will be flexible, allowing you to come in one day each week for a few focused hours. You will be guided and supported by a remote Physical Therapist who will handle evaluations and IEPs if needed, ensuring you have all the resources and supervision required to deliver top-quality care. To be considered for this opportunity, the following qualifications are necessary: Active Physical Therapist Assistant licensure in New Mexico Current NMPED certification Experience or interest in working with school-aged children Skills in planning and providing therapeutic interventions consistent with educational goals Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and remote supervisors Organized, self-motivated, and reliable Primary responsibilities include: Providing direct physical therapy services to three identified students on a weekly basis Collaborating with the supervising PT and school staff to monitor progress and support student needs Contributing to student records and reporting indirect service time Assisting with implementation of therapy goals within the classroom environment This assignment is available ASAP and runs through May 20th, offering a meaningful way to make a difference in students lives while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
