Desired Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license Previous experience in school-based physical therapy or with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, therapists, parents, and students Ability to adapt therapy techniques to fit each child's unique needs Knowledge of IEP/504 plans and special education practices is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Assist with implementation of individualized treatment plans to promote motor skills, balance, and mobility Utilize evidence-based exercises and equipment suited for the school environment Document patient progress, participate in IEP meetings, and contribute to progress reports as requested Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere for students of varying physical abilities Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure holistic support for each student
