9660211-87544 Job Description Make a meaningful impact by providing part-time physical therapy assistance to students in an educational setting near Espanola, NM. This rewarding contract opportunity calls for a qualified PTA to support three studentsa kindergartener, a 5th grader, and a 6th graderdelivering services approximately 3 hours per week. The flexibility of this arrangement offers the perfect fit for professionals seeking supplemental hours or a less traditional schedule. Working closely with a remote supervising Physical Therapist, you'll play a critical role in facilitating direct services while all evaluations and IEPs are managed by the supervising PT. This position is available immediately and continues through May 20th, making it ideal for those interested in a defined-term engagement.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license for the state of New Mexico Holds New Mexico Public Education Department (NMPED) approval Prior school-based PTA experience preferred, but not required Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Ability to work independently while adhering to guidance from a supervising
PT Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to students, as prescribed in their educational plans Assist, monitor, and document student progress in alignment with IEP goals Collaborate remotely with supervising PT for optimal student outcomes Adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of each student Keep records organized and adhere to scheduled visits This role presents the benefit of a predictable, part-time schedule with the satisfaction of helping children thrive in their school environment.
