Description Position Overview Ensign Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Henderson, Nevada. Work Environment Located in the vibrant city of Henderson, our hospital facility is designed to support clinical rehabilitation for a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, adhering closely to established plans of care. Administer therapeutic treatments designed to relieve pain, restore function, and maximize overall physical performance. Guide patients through various forms of therapeutic exercises, which include active and passive movement, muscle reeducation, functional training, gait training, and transfer activities. Utilize modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and massage as part of treatment protocols. Monitor and report any changes in patient conditions, communicating effectively with physical therapists and other healthcare personnel to ensure continuity of care. Educate patients on the proper use and care of mobility aids such as canes, crutches, wheelchairs, and other orthotic devices to enhance their recovery experience. Maintain comprehensive records and clinical notes in a timely manner to support effective clinical documentation and compliance. Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and educational programs to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and enhancing overall service delivery. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management, adapting as necessary to meet the clinic's dynamic needs. Patient Population / Client Focus You will work primarily with patients recovering from surgery, injury, or illness, including musculoskeletal injuries, neurological conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation. This role requires agility in adapting treatment plans to meet individual patient needs and ensuring that clients feel supported throughout their recovery journey. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited physical therapy assistant program with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in science or applied science recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Active state certification or licensure as mandated by state law. Current CPR certification, demonstrating commitment to patient safety and care. A valid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle that is fully insured according to state or organization standards. Preferred Experience While a minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required, candidates with extensive hospital experience working in a dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment will be preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient management software is also advantageous. Compensation and Benefits The role offers a competitive salary range of
USD 60,000
to 80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
