Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing comprehensive physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards. Perform manual therapy techniques and other interventions to alleviate pain and enhance mobility. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, ensuring proper usage and maintenance. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and modify care plans based on patient progress and clinical assessments. Maintain meticulous medical documentation, including electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain treatment procedures, discharge planning, and home exercise programs to promote active participation in recovery. Experience Familiarity with orthopedic, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care practices within physical therapy. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards essential for accurate clinical assessment documentation. Hands-on experience with manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other physiotherapy modalities. Demonstrated ability to operate medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments safely and effectively. Strong communication skills for engaging with patients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Prior involvement in discharge planning processes and client communication to support seamless patient transitions across care settings.
