Physical Therapist Assistant Ability Works - 4.1 Reno, NV Job Details Part-time | PRN | Contract | Per diem 21 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Practicing in a physical therapy role Physical Therapy Associate's degree in physical therapist assistant Patient transfer training Driver's License Patient interaction Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Associate's degree Full Job Description About the role Ability Works is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to treat home health patients in Reno, Nevada and the surrounding areas. You will carry out treatment plans written by our supervising physical therapist and help patients regain strength, mobility and confidence. We are a small practice, so you will have real time with each patient and a direct line to the physical therapist. You will see patients one-on-one in their own homes. What you'll do Deliver treatment under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist, following the established plan of care Lead patients through therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, and functional mobility work Apply manual techniques and modalities as directed, such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation and ultrasound Observe and record each patient's response to treatment and report changes to the physical therapist Complete accurate visit notes the same day Teach patients and caregivers their home exercise programs and safe movement at home Travel to patients' homes in the Reno area and keep your equipment clean and ready Follow HIPAA, infection control and state practice act requirements What you'll need Required Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist assistant program Current Nevada PTA license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain one before your start date Current CPR/BLS certification Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and auto insurance Clear, friendly communication with patients, families and the care team Ability to lift, transfer and support patients, and to stand, bend and kneel through most of a visit Preferred Home health experience New graduates are welcome to apply Pay and schedule

$65 per visit
