Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care, assisting in the rehabilitation of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Your expertise in anatomy and physiology will be essential in developing effective treatment plans and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Duties Assist physical therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities. Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, acute care hospitals, and home health environments. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment. Utilize techniques such as trigger point therapy, MFR, Cupping, Stretching, Taping to address specific patient needs. Qualifications Knowledge of physiology and anatomy is essential for effective patient assessment and care. Experience in orthopedics, outpatient therapy, sports injuries is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on providing exceptional patient care. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining a positive attitude. Familiarity with discharge planning processes to facilitate smooth transitions for patients. Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program is required. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Days and hours needed:
Mornings- Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 8:30 am to 12 pm/ 12:30 pm Afternoons- Tuesday and Thursday 3:00pm to 7:30pm to close Join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients through your expertise and dedication!
