Job Description:
SUNY Broome Community College is seeking qualified and dedicated candidates to fill part-time Adjunct Instructor positions in the Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Department. The department offers an A.A.S. in Physical Therapist Assistant. The program is fully accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) and is a NYS licensure preparation program. The successful candidate will provide instruction, course management and maintenance, and student support for selected courses in the PTA programs. Courses may include lecture and/or labs and are offered in an in-person format. Applications for Adjunct Instructor positions are accepted on a continuous basis. Candidates are contacted and hired as opportunities arise, depending on the College's needs.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in an applicable field is required. A Masters degree is preferred. An Active unencumbered New York State PTA or PT License is required. PTA clinical and teaching experience preferred. Experience teaching and working within a clinical setting is strongly desired. A strong background in electrotherapeutic agents, mechanical spinal traction, and electromyographic biofeedback is preferred. Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
