Physical Therapy Aide /
Clinical Assistant Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide/Clinical Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will support licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality patient care, ensure smooth daily operations of the clinic, and help patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their rehabilitation journey. This position is ideal for individuals interested in healthcare, rehabilitation, or pursuing a future career in physical therapy or related fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists with setting up and preparing treatment areas. Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities under therapist supervision. Clean, organize, and maintain equipment and treatment spaces. Greet patients, schedule appointments, and handle basic front-desk administrative tasks. Monitor patient progress during sessions and communicate observations to the therapy team. Provide encouragement and support to patients during their treatment. Ensure compliance with clinic safety, hygiene, and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework in health sciences preferred). Previous experience in a healthcare, fitness, or customer service setting is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered mindset. Ability to follow instructions, multitask, and maintain attention to detail. Physical ability to assist patients and perform light lifting or equipment handling.
