Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality care, support patient recovery, and help improve quality of life. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care as outlined in the physical therapy plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and mobility training. Educate patients and families on exercises, safety techniques, and strategies for independence. Document patient progress, treatment sessions, and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist. Ensure a safe and supportive environment while maintaining professional and ethical standards. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient goals and optimize outcomes. Qualifications Current New York State PTA License (required). Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow treatment plans with attention to detail and accuracy. Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care. Prior experience in outpatient, inpatient, or skilled nursing settings preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
