In this dynamic position, you will assist licensed physical therapists in implementing personalized care plans, promoting mobility, and enhancing overall well-being. Your expertise in physiotherapy techniques and patient care will help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life across diverse populations, including geriatrics, pediatrics, and individuals recovering from orthopedic or acute conditions. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives through compassionate and skilled support. Duties Collaborate with licensed physical therapists to develop and execute individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Assist with administering therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and modalities to reduce pain and improve function. Support patients with mobility exercises, transfers, and activities of daily living to foster independence. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and caregivers on physiotherapy techniques, safety measures, and discharge planning strategies for continued recovery at home. Maintain accurate records of treatments provided, patient responses, and any changes in condition following healthcare protocols. Ensure compliance with all safety standards, medical terminology guidelines, and healthcare regulations during service delivery. Qualifications Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with current licensure or registration as required by state law. Demonstrated experience working in inpatient settings such as skilled nursing facilities or acute care environments. Prior experience in home health care preferred; clinic or outpatient experience is also valuable. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and developing effective care plans for diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to supporting recovery across outpatient, inpatient, and home health settings. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
