Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized treatment plans tailored to patient needs. Implement physical therapy treatments, including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety. Document clinical assessments, treatment progress, and discharge planning accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems following clinical documentation standards. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions, maintaining equipment hygiene and functionality. Communicate clearly with patients and caregivers to explain procedures, address concerns, and promote engagement in therapy activities. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate care plans for inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facility, home health, or pediatric patients. Maintain compliance with medical terminology standards and documentation protocols to ensure quality medical documentation and continuity of care. Skills Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques such as manual therapy, orthopedics, and geriatrics. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practice. Familiarity with clinical assessment documentation and discharge planning processes. Ability to operate medical equipment used in physical therapy treatments efficiently and safely. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members. Prior inpatient or skilled nursing facility experience is preferred; outpatient or clinic experience is highly valued.
