Job Description Find your calling at Mercy! The Physical Medicine Coordinator assumes responsibility for all related activities related to competence in the provision of high quality and safe patient care in the Inpatient Physical Medicine Department. Collaborates with leadership, technical and professional schools, and other content experts/educators to provide educational opportunities and improve student and staff competence.
Position Details:
Education:
Successful completion of an accredited (PT, OT) therapy assistant program.
Licensure:
Current state license to practice
PTA, COTA.
Experience:
At least 2 years' experience in a hospital acute care therapy setting.
Certification:
Must have a current Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within their probationary period.
Other Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
Understands clinical practices, latest technologies, educational methodologies, and regulatory standards, along with knowledge of planning, curriculum development, and mentorship principles. Demonstrates strong organizational, planning, and communication skills in clinical settings, emphasizing the ability to design orientation programs, facilitate preceptor development, and maintain patient care. Demonstrates effective collaboration, mentorship, regulatory compliance, and resource management to promote a culture of excellence and safety. Able to enhance technical skills, collaborate with educators, and reflect organizational values in professional interactions. Why Mercy?
