This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring patients receive exceptional service from their first visit to their follow-up care. Your energetic and positive attitude will help create a welcoming environment, while your attention to detail ensures accurate documentation and seamless operations. Whether managing patient schedules, verifying insurance, or assisting with medical records, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding healthcare experiences. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk, including answering multi-line phones with professional phone etiquette Schedule appointments efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring accurate billing and claims processing Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history and updating health information in EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems Maintain organized medical records, perform filing, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness Support medical billing by coding procedures using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10/ICD-9 codes, and managing collections for outstanding balances Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, explaining treatment plans, and ensuring a positive clinic experience Requirements Proven clinic or medical office experience, particularly in chiropractic Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and insurance verification processes Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly desirable Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and 10-key typing for data entry tasks Exceptional organizational skills with experience in medical records management and documentation review Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively Strong customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and a friendly demeanor Ability to handle sensitive health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Office management skills including scheduling, filing, and multi-line phone system operation Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants are strongly preferred.
