This flexible opportunity offers daylight hours with weekend and holiday coverage on an as-needed and as-available basis. You'll work alongside experienced rehabilitation professionals in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional patient-centered care. What You'll Do As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you'll provide skilled physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life. Key Responsibilities Deliver individualized physical therapy treatments according to established plans of care. Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition or treatment response to the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist in the treatment and assessment of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients within the scope of practice. Utilize evidence-based treatment techniques to maximize patient outcomes and functional independence. Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation that meets regulatory and organizational standards. Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams to support optimal outcomes. Supervise and effectively utilize rehabilitation support staff in accordance with state practice regulations. Complete charge entry and statistical reporting accurately and efficiently. Assist with patient transport as needed in a safe, professional, and compassionate manner. Rotate between treatment areas or facilities as operational needs require. Meet productivity standards while maintaining a high level of patient care. Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, departmental initiatives, and professional development activities. Casual, Daylight Hours Weekend & Holiday Requirement:
As needed and as available based on department needs. Help patients take the next step toward recovery, independence, and a better quality of life. Required Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program. Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Knowledge of human growth and development across the lifespan and the ability to provide age-appropriate care. Ability to interpret medical records and clinical documentation. Strong organization, critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills. Ability to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining quality patient care. Preferred Active participation in physical therapy or healthcare professional organizations. Additional Requirements Completion of all required system, facility, and department orientation and competency programs. May work in areas where medications are stored; no direct medication handling is required.
