Chiropractic Assistant / Class IV Laser Therapy Technician Job Summary Yusavage Family Chiropractic is seeking a dependable, motivated, and patient-focused Chiropractic Assistant/Class IV Laser Therapy Technician to join our team in Olyphant, Pennsylvania. This is a hands-on clinical position that combines Class IV laser therapy with assisting our doctors in providing exceptional patient care. A chiropractic degree is not required. This position may be an excellent fit for a Physical Therapist Assistant, Certified Athletic Trainer, Medical Assistant, exercise science or kinesiology graduate, or another healthcare professional with an interest in rehabilitation, sports injuries, therapeutic exercise, and patient care. The primary responsibilities will include performing Class IV laser therapy according to established protocols and assisting our doctors with exercises, electric muscle stimulation, patient education, taping procedures when appropriately trained or certified, and other related clinical duties. We are looking for someone who wants more than a temporary job. The right person will become an important member of our clinical team, develop strong relationships with patients, take ownership of their responsibilities, and help us continue growing our laser therapy services and specialty treatment programs. Responsibilities Perform Class IV laser therapy under the direction of our doctors and according to established treatment and safety protocols Prepare patients for laser treatments and explain procedures in a clear and reassuring manner Monitor patient comfort and response during treatment Accurately document laser settings, treatment areas, patient responses, and progress Communicate patient questions, concerns, or changes to the treating doctor Assist the doctors with patient care and the delivery of prescribed treatment plans Review and demonstrate doctor-approved therapeutic exercises and home-care instructions with patients Help patients perform exercises correctly and safely Apply athletic or kinesiology taping techniques when appropriately trained, certified, and directed by the doctor Place patients on electric muscle stimulation and other therapeutic modalities after proper training Assist with patient positioning and preparation for examinations and treatments Help manage specialized programs involving neuropathy, sports injuries, chronic pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions Track patient progress and help patients remain consistent with their recommended treatment schedules Prepare, clean, and organize treatment rooms and therapeutic equipment Assist with patient intake and record relevant information in the electronic health-record system Provide patients with outstanding service and help them feel comfortable, respected, and cared for Educate patients about appropriate services available within the practice Help manage, improve, and grow the laser therapy department Protect patient confidentiality and follow all HIPAA requirements Perform other related clinical and administrative duties as needed Who We Are Looking For Our ideal candidate is: Dependable, punctual, and responsible Compassionate and comfortable working directly with patients Energetic and able to keep up in a busy clinical environment Confident explaining procedures and exercises to patients Interested in anatomy, rehabilitation, sports injuries, pain management, and therapeutic exercise Able to follow detailed treatment protocols and safety procedures Observant and able to recognize and report changes in a patient's condition Organized and accurate with documentation Comfortable working independently while also functioning as part of a team Willing to learn, accept feedback, and continue developing professionally Interested in taking ownership of the position and helping the practice grow Professional, ethical, and respectful of patient and practice confidentiality Preferred Background Applicants with education, certification, or experience in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Physical Therapist Assistant Certified Athletic Trainer Exercise Science Kinesiology Medical Assisting Rehabilitation or Sports Medicine Chiropractic or Physical Therapy Office Therapeutic Exercise Athletic or Kinesiology Taping Therapeutic Modalities Outpatient Healthcare Direct Patient Care Previous Class IV laser experience is helpful but not required. Training in our laser equipment, treatment protocols, safety procedures, documentation, electric muscle stimulation, and office procedures will be provided. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Healthcare-related education, certification, or direct patient-care experience strongly preferred Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to demonstrate exercises and provide clear instructions Ability to follow detailed directions and maintain accurate patient records Basic computer skills and willingness to learn our electronic health-record system CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification Ability to remain on your feet and move between treatment rooms throughout the workday Ability to safely assist patients with positioning and exercises when necessary Commitment to protecting patient confidentiality and proprietary practice protocols Schedule This is a full-time position of approximately 35-40 hours per week. Dependability and availability during the practice's scheduled patient-care hours are essential. About Our Practice Yusavage Family Chiropractic is a busy, established, family-oriented chiropractic office serving patients of all ages. Our practice provides chiropractic care, on-site digital X-rays, Class IV laser therapy, electric muscle stimulation, massage therapy, therapeutic exercises, and specialized care for sports injuries, neuropathy, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Pay:
