Job Description
Requirements Valid PA Physical Therapy Assistant License Must have basic computer skills to utilize both CIU-20 computer-based and web-based programs . Description Physical Therapy Assistant for the Early Intervention program serving locations as assigned in the Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 servicing area. Position beginning with the start of the 2026-2027 program year. Early Intervention has a 188 day work year spanning the entire school year, July through June. To provide school-based physical therapy services in Early Intervention programs for students in order to facilitate their educational program within the educational environment. Coordinate physical therapy with school personnel and other appropriate specialists to develop the Individual Education Plan, measurable goals and incorporate specially-designed instruction into IEP's as well as participation in relevant conferences. Develop specific activities toward the implementation of therapy techniques. Establish, collect, and assist with the referral process, review of records, documentation of therapy and screening, evaluations, and report writing. Utilize appropriate therapy techniques in order to manage therapy services as well as adaptation and termination of procedures. See link for job description . The salary represents a 188-day work year. New employees who begin after the first day of the school year will have their salary prorated to the numbers of work days remaining in the school year.
