Job Summary:
The School of Rehabilitative and Health Sciences (SRHS) in the Rueckert-Hartman College for Health Professions at Regis University seeks applicants for a 12-month faculty appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor. Responsibilities include teaching in assigned areas of expertise, scholarship, student advising, and service at all levels of the University. Regis University School of Rehabilitative and Health Sciences is committed to health justice, inclusion and diverse perspectives among its faculty and students. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Each faculty member is expected to be collegial, adhere to the School Workplace Commitment, participate in shared governance at the School, College, and/or University level, and be an engaged citizen of the University through participation in the functional and ceremonial life of the institution. Ranked faculty members participate in teaching, student advising, scholarship, service, and as appropriate, clinical practice. Teaching is a major responsibility of the faculty, and this encompasses course development, organization, selection of assignments and preparation for class, assessment activities including testing, timely notification of student progress, and assistance for individual students. In addition to individual course preparation, the faculty regularly participate in overall curriculum evaluation and revision according to changes and trends in the field of physical therapy, health care, and education. The faculty participate actively in student advising for the academic welfare and professional development of the students. This involves meeting(s), electronic and personal communication with advisee students each semester. Faculty are expected to be active in scholarly endeavors which contribute to the professional body of knowledge. The hallmark of scholarly activities is the process of peer-review and dissemination. Faculty members are assigned committee duties necessary to maintain and improve University, College, School/Program operations and outcomes. Faculty members who are teaching clinical content in the curriculum are strongly encouraged to seek clinical practice opportunities to maintain clinical competency and remain informed regarding contemporary physical therapist practice. Faculty attendance is expected at University Commencement, All-School Meetings (ASMs), SRHS All-day meetings (RLMs), and Provost Faculty Workshop (August). Additionally, DPT faculty are expected to attend SRHS specific ceremonies.
Qualified faculty candidates must have:
A current physical therapist license and be in good standing with their state's professional practice division. A terminal academic doctoral degree in a related field from an accredited institution preferred OR a clinical doctoral degree. Evidence of advanced clinical certification such as ABPTS specialization in Cardiopulmonary (CCS)or Pediatrics (PCS). Teaching experience in physical therapy, evidence of scholarship dissemination (peer-reviewed publication or presentation), and demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices in teaching, scholarship, and service. Special knowledge, skills, abilities General Ability to think creatively and critically, define problems, gather and establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and develop solutions and propose appropriate courses of action Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior consistent with the mission of Regis University Strong understanding of technology for use, at minimum, for teaching, learning and student assessment. Teaching experience in physical therapy, health science or exercise science Evidence of scholarship dissemination (peer-reviewed publication or presentation) Demonstrated commitment to inclusive practices in teaching, scholarship, practice and/or service

Ranked faculty are hired on FTE Faculty Contracts. Holiday and leave vary according to FTE.
