Position Summary Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the Certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will: Implement individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients Provide therapy services in school-based and outpatient settings Accurately document treatment sessions and patient progress Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Help create a fun, engaging, and motivating therapy environment that encourages each child to succeed
Qualifications Required:
Associate's Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) for PTAs Current Tennessee PTA License (or eligible for licensure) Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities Comfortable learning and using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and technology
Preferred:
Pediatric therapy experience (1+ year preferred, but not required) Experience in school-based therapy Strong documentation and time management skills Part Time welcomed.
