In this position, you will assist licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to diverse patient populations in their home. Duties Assist patients with exercises and mobility activities under supervision, ensuring safety and proper technique. Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces, including sanitizing equipment and area after use. Monitor patient progress during therapy sessions, noting observations for therapist review. Help with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient records accurately. Educate patients on post-treatment exercises and home care routines to promote continued recovery. Follow all safety protocols and medical guidelines related to physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure high-quality care delivery. Experience Prior experience or familiarity with inpatient, outpatient, or clinic environments is preferred. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology enhances your ability to support clinical staff effectively. Experience working in post-acute care settings such as sub-acute or geriatrics is advantageous. Background in orthopedics or hospital medicine can provide valuable context for patient needs. Sub-acute care experience helps develop skills in managing complex cases involving mobility challenges. Strong communication skills and a compassionate attitude are essential for fostering positive patient interactions.
