Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient recovery and mobility. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver personalized rehabilitative care for our skilled nursing facilities. Your energetic approach and compassionate attitude will help patients regain strength, improve function, and achieve their health goals. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in implementing customized care plans for our residents. Conduct therapeutic interventions. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately in medical records Educate patients and their families on exercises, activity modifications, and discharge planning to promote ongoing recovery. Support patient care activities. Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for therapy sessions Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs Requirements Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program is required Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques essential for effective patient care Experience working in skilled nursing facilities preferred. Familiarity with discharge planning processes.
