Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Evolution Physical Therapy and Wellness Center LLC Westerly, RI Evolution Physical Therapy and Wellness Center is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing private practice. We are a patient-centered physical therapy and wellness practice dedicated to providing individualized, high-quality care. Our clinic treats a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, post-operative, neurological, chronic pain, and general musculoskeletal conditions. Position Overview The Physical Therapist Assistant will work closely with the Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans, provide hands-on patient care, monitor patient progress, and help patients achieve their functional goals. This position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys one-on-one patient interaction, a supportive environment, and the opportunity to be involved in a growing private practice. Responsibilities Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Perform therapeutic exercises and functional activities according to the established plan of care Assist with gait training, balance training, mobility training, and functional rehabilitation Provide appropriate manual therapy techniques within the PTA's scope of practice and established plan of care Assist with stretching, strengthening, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic activities Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist Document treatments accurately and in a timely manner Maintain a clean, organized, and professional treatment environment Educate patients regarding exercises, proper movement, and home programs as directed by the Physical Therapist Assist with patient flow and clinic operations when needed Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, physicians, staff, and other healthcare professionals Follow HIPAA, clinic, and professional standards at all times Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: A licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Rhode Island or eligible for Rhode Island licensure Compassionate, personable, and patient-focused Reliable, organized, and professional Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with the Physical Therapist Passionate about helping patients improve their mobility, strength, independence, and quality of life Comfortable treating a variety of orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions Willing to learn and grow within a private practice environment A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills What We Offer Competitive hourly compensation Flexible scheduling Supportive, collaborative private-practice environment Opportunity to work with a diverse patient population Opportunities for professional growth and development Modern clinic and wellness environment
