Job Description

Faith. Family. Physical Therapy. We are a faith-centered outpatient physical therapy clinic in Columbia, SC, and our mission is simple: to glorify God in everything we do. We're an established, growing team looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who wants to be part of a supportive, positive environment where quality patient care, teamwork, and personal growth are valued. At Alive Physical Therapy, you won't feel like just another employee filling a schedule. You'll be joining a team of experienced clinicians who genuinely want to see you succeed. Our PTs and PTAs work together, communicate regularly, share clinical knowledge, and support one another in providing the best care possible. And just as importantly, we enjoy working together. There's no culture of gossip, competition, or tearing each other down. We encourage one another, celebrate each other's successes, and work together toward a common purpose. We're growing as a team—and we want you to grow with us. Why You'll Love Being HereFaith-Driven Culture Our mission is to glorify God in everything we do. We believe serving our patients with compassion, integrity, excellence, and humility is part of that calling. Faith isn't simply something written on our walls—it shapes how we treat our patients and how we treat one another. Supportive Clinical Team You'll work alongside experienced physical therapists who value collaboration and want you to succeed. You'll have people around you who are willing to answer questions, talk through patients, share clinical knowledge, and help you continue developing your skills. We believe a great PTA is an important part of the clinical team—not simply someone who carries out a PT's plan of care. A Truly Supportive Team You'll be joining a team that genuinely supports one another. We believe coworkers should build each other up, not compete against each other. No gossip. No unnecessary drama. No "figure it out yourself" mentality. We work together, learn together, and celebrate wins together. One Patient Per Hour - No Double Booking Quality over quantity. You'll have the time to actually treat your patients, communicate with them, and provide thoughtful, individualized care without constantly running between multiple patients. We want you to be able to focus on the person in front of you—not simply getting through a crowded schedule. Patient-Centered Care We believe physical therapy should be personal. As a PTA, you'll have an important role in helping patients progress through their plan of care, building relationships with them, providing hands-on treatment and therapeutic exercise, and communicating changes or concerns with the supervising PT. We want our patients to feel known, cared for, and encouraged throughout their rehabilitation. Work-Life Balance That Respects Your Family We believe your identity extends far beyond your career. We protect your time outside the clinic so you can be present with your family, church, and community. Efficient systems, minimal paperwork, and no expectation of taking work home help you leave the clinic when the workday is done. A Growing Clinic With Opportunity to Grow With It We're not a stagnant practice. We're an established and growing clinic with a vision for the future. As we grow, there will be opportunities for you to grow with us—both clinically and professionally. We want to invest in team members who are dependable, teachable, hardworking, and committed to providing excellent patient care. What We're Looking For Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in South Carolina (or eligible for licensure) A PTA who genuinely cares about people and wants to make a difference in patients' lives Someone who is eager to learn and receptive to feedback A team player who communicates well with PTs, PTAs, and other members of the clinic Someone who takes pride in providing excellent, individualized patient care Someone who is dependable, positive, and willing to contribute to the team Someone who is comfortable asking questions and continuing to grow clinically Outpatient orthopedic experience is a plus, but we're especially interested in your character, teachability, work ethic, and desire to provide excellent care Someone who shares our mission of faith first, family second, physical therapy third The Kind of Place We're Building We want Alive Physical Therapy to be the kind of place where you can build a career without sacrificing your family, continue growing as a clinician without feeling like you're on your own, and work alongside people who genuinely care about you. We believe being a PTA can be more than simply working through a schedule. It can be an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients, use your skills to serve others, work alongside a great team, and continue developing professionally. If you're a PTA looking for a positive team, one-on-one patient care, supportive PTs, a healthy work environment, and a workplace where your faith and family values are respected , we'd love to meet you. Come grow with us—and use your gifts for His glory.
