Job Description

Job Title:
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Victorian Assisted Living Join our dedicated rehabilitation team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) serving seniors across our Assisted Living Facility. In this role, you will treat residents across the Facility. Your mission is to help our residents maintain their highest level of function, prevent falls, and thrive within their living environment. You will collaborate with the licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of the geriatric population.
Duties & Responsibilities Care:
Execute treatment plans across ALF, adapting your approach to the resident's specific environment.
Functional Mobility:
Focus on gait training, balance interventions, and transfer safety to reduce fall risks and promote "aging in place."
Documentation:
Maintain precise records of patient progress, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.
Nursing:
Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure educated on carry-over techniques into the resident's daily routine.
Education:
Empower residents and their families with customized home exercise programs (HEPs) and safety modifications for their living spaces.
Requirements Licensure:
Valid certification and current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
Senior Care Expertise:
Preferred experience in
Skilled Nursing or Senior Living Facilities Clinical Knowledge:
Strong grasp of geriatric kinesiology, anatomy, and common age-related conditions (e.g., Neuro, stroke recovery, orthopedic rehab).
Regulatory Savvy:
Familiarity with documentation requirements.
Communication:
Ability to build rapport with seniors and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team (IDT). Why Join Us?
