Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant Full Job Description About Us:
East Tennessee Spine and Sport is an outpatient physical therapy company locally owned and operated in Knoxville, TN. We are seeking both a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to deliver high-quality therapy services in our Fountain City location. Whether you're an experienced PTA or a new grad PTA, we welcome you to grow with us and make a difference in patients' lives. Join a team dedicated to patient-centered care and excellence in physical rehabilitation.
Primary job responsibilities include:
  • Directing and supporting patient care in the clinic under the supervision of our Clinic Director.
  • Develop appropriate exercise prescriptions for reconditioning exercises for patients.
  • Documenting and assuring patient's progress according to standard clinical procedures.
  • Providing motivation and support as well as guidance to the patients.
  • Develop appropriate exercise prescriptions for home exercise program and assure that the patient understands how to maintain the achievement of our program to the best of his/her ability, helping to prevent further medical problems related to the injury or disease.
  • Interaction with physicians, nurse practitioners and insurance companies regarding patients.
  • Policing clinic area (e.
g. safety, water, towels, tidiness)
