Position Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength, and functional independence. Responsibilities Implement treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist, using appropriate therapeutic exercises and activities. Monitor resident responses to treatment and report changes to the PT. Assist with resident and family education regarding home exercise programs and safety. Complete timely and accurate documentation of services provided. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident goals and discharge planning. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Current, unencumbered PTA license in the state of Tennessee. Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
