A dynamic opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide essential physical therapy services to students within a forward-thinking district. This contract position offers a chance to make a positive impact across multiple educational sites, collaborating closely with the district's Physical Therapist and working directly with students to support their development and participation in the school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid or eligible Tennessee licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant Experience in pediatrics or school-based settings preferred, but not required Commitment to traveling regularly between school sites throughout the district Reliable transportation for daily travel requirements Excellent communication and organizational abilities Collaborative mindset for working with education teams, therapists, and families
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Assist in executing individualized treatment plans and therapy objectives Support students in achieving greater functional mobility and independence in educational settings Accurately document services and progress as required by program guidelines Work alongside teachers, special education professionals, and related service providers Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress discussions Adapt to varied school environments and contribute to a supportive educational culture This role is full-time preferred and begins immediately, offering the chance to become an integral part of a collaborative team dedicated to student achievement.
