Assists Physical Therapists by implementing treatment plans for patients across all ages, from neonatal to geriatric, ensuring adherence to professional practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Self-assesses and seeks ongoing professional development, sharing knowledge with colleagues. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. Utilizes logical reasoning to identify problems, analyze data, and develop solutions. Supports student training, completes assessments, and fosters team relationships. Collects data, assists in patient evaluations, and monitors progress during therapy sessions. Prepares documentation, aids in discharge planning, and promotes evidence-based practices. Performs assigned duties as needed, contributing to patient care and departmental activities.
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
Experience:
Preferred one year as a Physical Therapy Aide or Assistant.
Licensure:
Current PTA license with active, good standing status in the relevant licensing body.
Certifications:
BLS certification (must obtain within 90 days of start).
