AVIR at La Hacienda is an in-house subacute rehabilitation facility seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a per diem basis . Position Responsibilities Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients' mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional independence. Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, mobility activities, and functional tasks. Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist. Document treatment sessions, patient progress, and clinical observations accurately and in a timely manner. Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, safety, and home recommendations. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation, nursing, and care teams to support patient-centered outcomes. Maintain compliance with professional, facility, and regulatory standards. Qualifications Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills. Experience in skilled nursing or subacute rehabilitation is preferred. New graduates with appropriate licensure are encouraged to apply.
